The Thirteenth Prayer Fellowship

Mom shared a message on Matthew 6:33:

Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.

If we seek to make the Lord king of our lives, and seek to do His will and what is pleasing in His sight, He will take care of us and give us all that we need and desire.  Our focus should be on Him, not on the circumstances or things that we need or desire.  As He increases in our life, He will bring His blessings.

After the service, we got a phone call from some relatives in Delhi.  My cousin’s son was extremely ill and had to be rushed to the hospital.  They asked us to come and pray for him.  So, the remainder of the day we spent traveling to and from Delhi and praying with my cousin’s son.  On our way to Delhi, we prayed with him over the phone and his health improved to an extent that he could be released from the hospital.

After praying for my cousin’s son, we visited another cousin who lives near there.  We shared with them about The Orphanage Project and what the Lord has been doing in our lives.  We also prayed over the phone with a lady who is in the hospital with cancer.  She felt the pain leave her body as we prayed.

On Monday, Kalpana came over for Bible Study.  She just got back from a dream vacation to Thailand.  She had been praying about it and God answered her prayers.  He is so good…He gives us the desires of our heart.

I also got a call from a young man named Harish.  I had prayed for him earlier over the phone that the Lord would help him with his business.  He called to tell me that the Lord was helping him.  He had heard our prayers.  Harish wanted more prayer.

The children were supposed to come for tutoring.  We waited and waited and waited…but no one showed up.  It rained on Sunday night.  Some of the children had been sleeping in the open air after their homes were destroyed.  Perhaps the rain caused them to flee.

It is really heartbreaking to think I may not see many of the kids again.  I do not know where they have gone to.  Many may have moved back to their villages.  Some have moved to the other side of the river.  I just pray that the Lord keeps his hand of protection over them.  May He wanted the seed that has been planted in their hearts.

Scripture for the Day:
20 Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound.  But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, 21 so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Romans 5:20-21.
