The Sixteenth Miracle Meeting

After we were done praying with her, it was time for Wednesday Bible study with Kalpna, Shikha and Suvneet.  We continued our study on the Word of God.  Today we studied the importance of meditation on the word of God.  The Bible says if we meditate on the word of God day and night, we will be like a tree that is planted by the water, bearing good fruit in the proper season and prospering in all that we do.

As Bible study ended, some other cousins were over for prayer.  Mom sent time praying with them for release from demonic oppressions.  Then, one cousin had shoulder and neck pain.  He felt a heaviness.  As we prayed, the entire pain and heaviness lifted.  The other cousin had back pain that left as we prayed for healing.

Then, Kalpna’s Aunt came for prayer all the way from Delhi.  She felt a difference since prayer yesterday.  We prayed with her and gave her the teaching on the Holy Spirit and who Jesus is to read when she gets a chance.

By the time they left, it was time for the miracle meeting.  We had our sixteenth miracle meeting today.  I had thought that no one would show up, but we had a nice turn-out.  In addition to the regulars, Nahim, Mahima and Vinod, the couple from Vasant Vihar came, Arshana, Yeshmina, and Anu Didi attended, as did my cousins: Goodwill Didi, Rajesh Jijaji, Pinky Didi, Rakesh Jijaji, Meghna, Golden Bhaiya, and Promil Bhaiya.

I shared a simple message based on Luke 5:12-16:

12 Once Jesus was in a town where there was a man suffering from a dreaded skin-disease.  When he saw Jesus, he threw himself down and begged him, “Sir, if you want to, you can make me clean!”
13 Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him.  “I do want to,” he answered.  “Be clean!”  At once the disease left the man.  14 Jesus ordered him, “Don’t tell anyone, but go straight to the priest and let him examine you; then in order to prove to everyone that you are cured, offer the sacrifice as Moses ordered.”
15 But the news about Jesus spread all the more widely, and crowds of people came to hear him and be healed of their diseases.  16 But he would go away to lonely places, where he prayed.

From this passage of scripture, we discussed four main points: (1) We need to just humble ourselves before God; (2) Jesus wants to heal us; (3) Jesus can heal instantaneously; and (4) although ministering to others is good, we need to spend alone time with God, just praying.

Meghna had us pray for her after the service.  She had been feeling a heaviness in her head and eyes and a tiredness in her body.  As we prayed, the ill-feeling completely left her.  She felt revived.

We also prayed for my cousin Goodwill Didi after the service.  She has a very bad skin problem that just wasn’t getting healed.  (Praise Report: A few days later she testified that the problem has started to clear up!)

We spent quite some time praying with the couple from Vasant Vihar.  I am amazed at the husband’s faith.  Although he is not “seeing” anything, yet he is believing that the Lord will set his wife free.  He prayed for and received the Holy Spirit today.

Just as they left, the neighbor with the vision problem and his daughter came for prayer.  We prayed for the neighbor and he felt the healing power of God.

Rajveer ji, the driver, called.  He said that continuous prayer is healing him of a kidney stone problem.  He has had kidney stones for years.  Even with medication, the pain will not subside many times.  He is in extreme pain a lot of the time.  At first when we prayed for him, he would feel instant relief, but only for a short period of time.  Now, since we have started praying daily, today and two days ago, he had no pain at all, which I guess is amazing according to him.  Today he called three times for prayer, and each time he reported that there was no pain.  He is believing that the Lord will heal him completely and he will not need surgery.  Praise God!

Scripture for the Day:
And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”  Luke 17:5.
