Off to Chennai

In the afternoon, my cousin came over for prayer.  He has always faced financial problems.  No matter what he has done in life, for some reason he has never been able to prosper.  It is like something is holding back financial blessing from his life.  He says things will get extremely close to working, but at the last second, something will go wrong.  We had prayed earlier, and he had felt some deliverance.  So, we prayed with him (I prayed until I fell asleep, I wasn’t feeling well…then mom and my other cousin’s wife continued praying) for deliverance.

Then, in the early evening, Gyanu, Sonu, Kulbushan came for tuition.  They are learning and improving each time.  Each child has different strengths and weaknesses.  For example, Kulbushan is strong in Math, while Sonu has some issues.  But, Sonu is strong in English, while Kulbushan needs more work.  This was Gyanu’s first time at tuition.  Gyanu is Sonu’s elder brother, but Gyanu dropped out of school and irons clothes instead.  I need to work on encouraging him to return to school.

In the evening, I got many phone calls for prayer.  First, Rishab, the little boy with muscular dystrophy called.

Then a lady from Mumbai called.  She had financial difficulties and her husband needed a job.  She also mentioned health issues, but was more concerned about getting prayer for the financial issues.  After we prayed for the financial issues, I asked her, “Can I pray for your health as well?”  She told me that she had a cervical problem.  She said that the doctors said the only solution was surgery.  She often had pain due to the back problem.  She said that I could pray, but it was a medical problem, so the doctor is what she really needed.  I began to pray for her.  Then I asked her if she felt any difference.  She was silent.  Then she said, “I can’t explain it.  I don’t know what to say.  I can’t describe what I am feeling.”  She became very excited.  She told me that she felt like someone came behind her, pulled her spine and completely straightened it.  She said, “Can God be this real?  I never thought He could be this real.”  I said, “Jesus is this real.”  She asked me, “Are you from Benny Hinn?”  I smiled and said, “No, I am not from Benny Hinn, but I believe in the same God that Benny Hinn believes in.”  And I told her that that God, Jesus, healed her.

Then Seema Didi, the lady with cancer called.  She was not feeling well after chemo, so we prayed through until she got relief.

Today we arrived in Chennai.  Mom wasn’t feeling well, so we didn’t go to the slum.  But, during the day, a lady called from Mehrauli.  Among other things, she had me pray for an extreme headache she and her children were having.  As we prayed, the Lord healed her completely.

We will be in Chennai for 11 days.  I am excited to see what the Lord has in store for these 11 days.

Scripture for the Day:
And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.  I Corinthians 10:13.
