Follow-Up at the Lajpat Nagar Slum

We weren’t able to stay long at Motichand ji’s house however.  We had to rush to Delhi to the slum we had gone to on Wednesday.  Some of the women had invited us back for follow-up.  When we got there, the children gathered around.  So, we all sang praises to the Lord and danced together.  Then we began praying for the children.  Various ones had various needs.  God healed headaches, stomach aches, leg pains, and arm pains.  One boy had been hit on the head with a cricket bat (somewhat like a baseball bat) the day before.  He had been up in the night writhing in pain.  After prayer, the pain completely left.  Then I told the children, they could pray for one another in Jesus name and they would see miracles too.  So, I had some of the children pray for the other children who had needs and God moved and healed them.  The kids were so excited.

One middle-aged man began showing interest in what we were doing and saying.  He began talking to mom.  He expressed an interest in having us come every week to share with the people and to pray for them.

Some of the ladies came and we prayed with them as well.  They felt the pains leave their bodies.

We had planned on doing a short Bible study, but with the way things were going, we decided to just pray this time and leave the study for next time.

On Wednesday, my mom, her sister, my cousins and I just had a fun day out.  They are building these huge shopping malls everywhere.  The stores in the malls are all very expensive, but the malls have great food courts.  We decided to just go window shopping.   They have a store similar to the dollar store in America, called the 99 Rupee store.  Everything in the store costs 99 rupees or less.  The stuff they were selling in the store is even identical to the stuff in the dollar store in the US.

After window shopping we went over to my Aunt’s house for tea.  As we were leaving, my Aunt’s mother in law stopped us and asked us to pray for her.  We had prayed for her a few weeks ago and she said that she had felt a difference since then.

I also got many calls on Wednesday to pray with people over the phone.  In the morning, Mr. Mehta’s mother called.  Her maid’s son wanted prayer for help with an exam he was taking.  So I prayed for him over the phone.

In the evening, I got a call from the shopkeepers in Karol Bagh whom we had prayed for a few weeks back.  They had had us pray for financial blessing in their work.  They said they had noticed a difference and wanted more prayer.

Later, I got a call from the lady who had lost her mom and had come for prayer over a month ago.  She wanted prayer for her son so that he would be less stubborn and would study properly.  Her sister said that we had prayed for her daughter, Kanika, for healing from Jaundice and she had been healed.  Praise God!

Scripture for the Day:
13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst.  But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”  John 4:13-14.
