A Time of Rest

Today in the morning, a lady and her daughter came over for prayer.  The lady’s husband disappeared approximately one year ago, and they have not been able to find him.  They have looked everywhere, performed all sorts of rituals and done everything in their power to find him, but all to no avail.  They are now at the point that they are scared to have faith in anything.  The lady also has severe arthritis in her knees and is deaf in one ear.  As we prayed for her, the knee pain/stiffness left and she felt a difference in her knee.  If God reminds you, please pray for the safe return of her husband.

We spent the day with my sister’s kids.  Anu didi and Jijaji went to see a movie and we took the kids to run some errands.  Mostly Arshana, Yeshmina, Raahil and I sat in the car while Mom ran the errands.  Raahil was so cute.  There was a song playing on the radio (Arshana’s favorite song when she was little) and he just began to “sing” with it.

At night, the rest of the family went to my aunt’s house for dinner.  I stayed home in order to prepare for Sunday service.  I am having the hardest time being inspired as to a topic for the Sunday morning message.  I believe I am supposed to somehow incorporate a message about the armor of God, but I don’t know how to do it.

At night, Arpit called again for prayer.  The doctors have confirmed he has jaundice.  But, he is feeling better since prayer.  As we prayed, the extreme stomach pains he was experiencing went away.  We prayed that the jaundice would go away.

Scripture for the Day:

For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him.  Psalm 103:11.
